Cooperation

Kiso values its cooperation with practitioners, researchers and interest organizations which makes it possible for the company to participate in the development of the solutions for the future as well as contributing to better results in rehabilitation and training.
To mention a few we have ongoing cooperation with AEF (Spanish association of physiotherapists), KNGF (Association of physiotherapists Netherlands) FIST (Icelandic associations of physiotherapists). Centre national de la Recherche Scientifique, University of Bordeaux, Reykjavik University, University of Iceland, Aspetar orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Quatar and Grensás rehabilitation center.

Kiso has participated in the IMA project which is a R&D project funded by the EC under the program „Research for the benefit of SME associations“. Projects funded under that program are expected to benefit a large group of small companies and that is also the aim of IMA. IMA´s objective is to develop a measurement tool for physiotherapists, an easy-to-use tool for quantitative assessment of patients condition.

Nordic Business and Living Lab Alliance is a project for creating an ecosystem for Nordic collaboration between municipalities and companies for co-creating, testing and scaling health and care products and services. One of the interesting findings is that strength training among elderly is one of the most beneficial for increased independence and to avoid falling. Kiso participates with a tool that can potentially maximize the strength training.

The feedback technique is practiced at the department for sport science at University of Reykjavik’s. Kiso participates in the cooperation with expertise and equipment.

Kiso has taken active part in the Federation of Icelandic Industries particularly the action group of Icelandic biomedical industry. The federation has promoted and accomplished several major achievements in changing the environment for innovation companies.
